Duration: December 1st, 2023 – January 31st 2024. (Start and end dates flexible)

Contractor Pay Rate: $750-$1,000 per month, depending on experience. We anticipate this project to require approximately 10-15 hours per week, based on experience.

Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Program Coordinator to oversee the smooth and efficient operation of WAM’s Winter Academy Program.

About WAM Winter Academy: WAM Winter Academy is a transformative remote learning program. Our program engages learners in critical discussions that elevate diverse storytelling, foster vulnerability, and explore topics of identity and belonging. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective communication with program facilitators and learners to ensure program requirements are met
  • Collaborate with the product development team to implement necessary modifications to program modules
  • Manage program schedules, timelines, and deadlines
  • Prepare progress reports on program development and implementation
  • Keep accurate records of program activities and expenses, including weekly reporting on program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate with stakeholders as required
  • Assist in the development of program materials and support promotional activities
  • Work closely with the COO to identify program challenges and recommend solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree (in progress or already obtained) in a relevant field such as business administration, logistics, project management, education, or communications
  • Prior experience in a program coordination or project management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, GSuite, Zoom, and project management software
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and team members

Duration: December 11th, 2023–January 12th, 2024 for the program, with reporting out the week of January 15th–19th. Orientation for 2 hours the week of December 4th. (flexible commitment)

Summary: We are seeking talented virtual facilitators to lead discussions as part of the WAM Winter Academy. As a facilitator, you will play a crucial role in guiding young adults through virtual interactive sessions, lasting between 60 and 90 minutes. Our program provides a structured content flow and a user-friendly learning management system to support your facilitation.

  • Lead engaging and thought-provoking discussions during the WAM Winter Academy sessions

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages participants to share their perspectives and experiences
  • Facilitate activities and exercises that promote critical thinking, self-reflection, and personal growth
  • Collaborate with the program team to provide feedback, share insights, and contribute to program improvement

Requirements:

  • Passion for and commitment to promoting social-emotional learning, diversity, and inclusivity
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to lead engaging discussions
  • Ability to create a safe and respectful environment for participants to express themselves
  • Comfort with technology and willingness to learn and utilize the provided learning management system
